Carved and Painted Primitive Wooden Figure of a Seated Man

This old carved and painted wooden figure of a seated man appears to be in the position of a driver, but I found him all by himself. He has a great primitive character, is very nicely done and has great age. Found in Illinois. He measures 4.5" in height.
